Tomcar offers 2 main vehicle concepts:

  1. Converted IEC mil spec, rear wheel drive TM model.
  2. Heavy duty, high payload 4WD TE model.

TMx8E Models

Tomcar’s converted ICE vehicles where designed for heavy duty work with a very high payload to curb weight ratio, high survivability, sacrificial and symmetrical parts and a versatile platform.

TM58E

  • TM58 ICE was developed in 2006 during to carry wounded out of inaccessible regions.
  • Military certified for 2800 lbs. with a curb weight of 2200 lbs.
  • 86-volt, 17 Kwh Lithium Battery Pack.
  • Up to 60 miles driving range fully loaded.

TM38E

  • An extended version of the TM58E. Military certified for 3100 lbs.
  • 72-volt, 14Kwh Lithium Battery Pack, with optional Dual pack for up to 28kwh.
  • Battery pack is located under the cargo box for greater stability.
  • Up to 50 miles driving range fully loaded.

TMx8E Electric Drive System

Tomcar’s rear wheel drive electric drive system delivers a smooth, powerful, precise and silent ride with minimal thermal foot print.

Drivetrain is equipped with a 40-Kw AC motor, Transfer case with High and Low gear ratios, a mechanical or pneumatic differential locker and direct driven trailing arms with additional gear reduction.

TMx8E Battery Pack

The Lithium battery pack is assembled from single modules connected in series and parallel. This arrangement allows the user to cut the battery pack voltage to half the voltage by manually opening the safety switch (1) while performing maintenance, during long term parking and in case of a crash.

The battery box also incorporates a fuse and relay panel (2) for the drive system only and an IP67 sealed charge connector (3).

Charge time varies depending on the supplied charger and battery pack power.
The following table represents the charge times for an 86-volts battery pack.

In order to maintain the above charge times over time, it is important to make a full a charge at least once a weak.

TE13 ‘Mule’

A unique weapons and personnel platform, driven by two parallel 86 volts, 60HP electric motors powered by a 33Kwh Lithium battery pack enclosed in a rigid sealed chassis.
